What does an AUSTRAC screen add?
An AUSTRAC screen is an Advanced report followed by a review against Australia's AML/CTF obligations. It re-checks the sanctions and PEP findings against the DFAT Consolidated List, Australia's sanctions authority, applies the 50% ownership rule across every sanctioned owner, classifies any politically exposed person under the AML/CTF Act 2006 as domestic, foreign or international-organisation, and notes whether the company appears to provide a designated service.
The result is the AUSTRAC AML/CTF compliance section, and it can raise the report's rating. The screen is offered for organisations. It is not offered for individuals, and it does not apply to ships.
An AUSTRAC screen supports your own AML/CTF programme; it does not replace it. See What is AUSTRAC?.
