What does a Basic report check?

A Basic report screens the subject against our data and writes up what it finds, without researching the web. For an organisation it matches the company to its register record (the Australian Business Register, UK Companies House or the global LEI register), screens the company and the owners the register discloses against sanctions, restricted-party, PEP and watchlist data, and adds regulator notices that name it.

For an individual, the screen runs by name and country; no register applies, and you confirm the privacy collection notice first.

For a vessel, see What does a vessel report cover?.

Where the company is matched to its register record, a Basic report also includes the checks that need no research: beneficial owner screening, ownership complexity, identifier quality and the beneficial ownership and control assessment. Checks that need research, such as court cases, insolvency or adverse media, are normally shown under Scope and methodology as not included. Run Advanced when you need them.
