What is forced-labour due diligence in EU law?
The Forced Labour Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2024/3015) prohibits placing or making available on the EU market, or exporting from the EU, products made with forced labour. The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD, Directive (EU) 2024/1760) imposes broader supply-chain human-rights and environmental due diligence on large companies. Both are progressively phased in through 2027–2029 and create new screening data demands on suppliers, not just sanctioned entities.
